This first show by The HOMeOwners on Saturday [July 14, 2012] @ The 71st Door was a lot of fun despite Mavis reminding me that it’s their first gig and there will probably be some kinks to work out. The only gliches I noticed was that the girls mics were being smothered by the music and Dave having to multitask the board while providing the lead vocals/guitar. Those are minor problems for a first show and was easily overshadowed by their fine performance, the band has been rehearsing for this day for longer than six months and it showed. A couple other bands was also on this bill, I stuck around for the Safeties. The YouTube embed has a playlist of several short songs by the HOMeOwners, some photos are here.

Dave’s rental of the band-lights, was money well spent IMHO.
