i shot a short video of mohammad cartoon that happened to be their last song of the set. the video was recorded to my memory card and is a little inferior, the audio was captured via the camera mic and is over modulated because of it..

it has been a few years since i’ve seen morrison dance and that is clearly my fault being that sarah and her dance troupe have a busy schedule not only summer but winter as well.
i had a rare friday off and the weather was perfect so i pedaled downtown to catch morrison dance perform as part of the ’sparx in the city’ free lunchtime outdoor entertainment shows that happen thursdays & fridays during the summer.

for what it is worth, i believe nate scheible is the most versatile drummer in cleveland if not the best. j guy laughlin joins nate for this drum duo and then is joined with matt hartman of the ’sic alps’. the ‘duo’ performed for 22 minutes & my vid tape ran out with a little less than two minutes left of their performance. i did get a decent audio recording of the whole show that i may add to this post eventually, i’m not sure if i will upload the video of the first 9 minutes of this set as of yet, stay tuned.

on the same tape right after the above performance i caught a one minute capture of these kids playing drums on east 14th street. these kids were out in the sun all day doing this..

i mentioned in the previous hot cha cha video that the vocals were weak depending on where one was standing, after watching this video i’m sure it was not just me or my recording equipment. part way through this video jovana stands on a monitor and motions to the sound guy of the problem. the sound guy is a veteran of doing sound at big area shows so i’m wondering what the problem was..
